Connemara ponies

I have always loved Connie’s ever since I started my equestrian journey, and this is why:

Megan Elphick at BE90 Badminton Grassroots 2022

Connemara ponies can do pretty much anything. They are amazing eventing horses as @elphickeventponies has proven on her incredible run at badminton grassroots 2022 with Jam (Jamelia), they are great showjumpers, endurance horses, have beautiful moves in the dressage, carriage driving horses, working hunters, leisure ponies, side saddle horses, plus good children’s ponies and confidence givers to nervous riders.

They come in so many variations of coats, from pure white, to dapple grey, dun, bay, palomino, buckskin, chestnut, roan, black and more! They have a kind eye, and small feathers and extraordinary confirmation and muscular definition when in medium to hard work.

Connie’s are calm, caring, willing as well as loving. They are trusting and inquisitive, intelligent, and safe. Sensible and patient. These ponies can be ridden by adults and children since they range between 12hh – 15.2hh on average.

Unfortunately, they are prone to laminitis unless you ensure they are a healthy weight.

Connemara ponies are originally from the west coast of Ireland, Connemara, from the rugged but picturesque landscape.
