The top 5 most recommended equestrian summer clothing

It is important that not only do we make sure our horses are comfortable in the heat under saddle or in the field, but we also need to take care of ourselves by making sure we stay cool and hydrated. The clothing we wear has a big impact on how effective we can get things done around the yard especially when working our ponies. Here are some of the top 5 recommended equestrian stable and rider wear for around the barn in the summer.

TOGGI SLEEVLESS TECHNICAL POLOS AND POLO SHIRTS

Toggi is known for their long lasting, comfortable riding attire and their polo shirts never disappoint. Worn and loved by many social media stars such as Lucy from Footluce Eventing, Emily from EMD Eventing, and Tina from Life on The Left Rein, event riders such as Cameron Beer wear Toggi too. These tops are flattering and sweat wicking.

MOUNTAIN HORSE SERENADE RIDING BOOTS

Unfortunately, it is vital that we wear sensible footwear around horses. Definitely important when riding and doing activities with our horses. Tall boots certainly put your lower leg in the correct position and stabilizes you whilst you on in the saddle. The mountain horse serenade riding boots are supportive and have high reviews on many websites.

AK BREATHABLE SUMMER RIDING GLOVES

These gloves are designed for use in the summer. This product is advertised for riding use and all-round yard use. They come in a few different colours and are made of breathable material so are ventilated. The AK breathable summer riding gloves are rather affordable. There are other gloves on the market out there and lots of white competition gloves too.

ARIAT COOLING CLOTHING

The Ariat cooling clothing range is designed to keep you cool around the yard and comfortable in the saddle. Produced for the aspects of equestrianism and summer, it spreads from base layers to your Ariat tri factor breeches. Items are made using moisture movement technology, Climate TEK technology (meaning it regulates your temperature no matter weather) and fabrics that give protection from the sun.

CHARLES OWEN PRO II PLUS SKULL CAP

This helmet is brilliant for the summer as it has front and rear ventilation to keep the head cool. As you probably already know, I love my Champion skull cap but one of the features it does not have is ventilation and therefore my head sometimes gets rather hot. Along with many other awesome things, the Charles Owen Pro II Plus fits like a regular cross-country skull cap and comes in black, navy, rose gold and silver. Charles Owen does a range of other helmets for all, tailored to look fashionable, be comfortable and are made in sizes that are sure to fit your head, some with mips technology and others with beautiful detailing and strong but safe fixed peaks. They have ranges of helmets for all disciplines. I know lots of people with their helmets that love them personally.
