Welsh ponies. Why are they so great? What are they used for? Find out here:

Welsh Ponies

Welsh ponies are so cool. Like many breeds they are versatile and compete in different disciplines within the equestrian industry. Learn more about them here:

Welsh ponies are often ridden by children because of their size. There are different sections between the breed: like the section A, section B, section C, and section D.

Section A’s are on average around 13.2hh and have a larger back unlike section B’s which stand around 14.2hh and have a long neck. Section C’s are a similar size to A’s and section D’s have a minimum height of 13.2hh and no maximum limit and therefore are often ridden by adults as well as youths.

They have better temperaments to their cousins and friendly as well as reliable. Welsh ponies are beautiful types of horses and have amazing stamina, good soundness, and super stamina. They also have great intelligence and are easy to train.

As you may have gathered, these equines come from Wales. They can never be piebald or skewbald however they can come black, roan, chestnut, bay, cream, palomino, buckskin or grey.
