My top 5 eventing influencers on YouTube

Updated: Aug 2, 2022

I am a dressage rider at heart, but I love watching all the eventing action. Eventing, if you don’t know is an English sport, consisting of three phrases: dressage, show jumping, and cross country at different heights and difficulty levels. These are my top 5 eventing youtubers that I follow and regularly stay updated with. All opinions are my own.

Ashley Harrison Eventing

Ashley is a 26-year-old, who has dedicated her life to horses. On her YouTube channel you will find her event vlogs with her 3 main event horses – Kato, Zebedee, and Maximus as well as her mum making appearances, fiancé and camera man Scott, and her dad (the comedian). She also does other riding videos with some of her other horses that she produces for selling or her own Fire and Erol. Ashley sells merch on her website also, where she goes into more detail about herself and her horses as well as all of the recent news.

ELPHICK EVENT PONIES

Megan Elphick is 25-year-old, who also is a full time youtuber and social media star. She along with Ashley sometimes produces horses to sell in any spare time and vlogs events. Her best friend and roommate Han, mum Hobbit and boyfriend Pete often make appearances in her videos too. Her main ponies featuring are her homebreds: Ari and Whinnie, Bear, Millie and filly Ettie, badminton pony Jam, Dee, Bryni, Dora as the odd footage of retired horse Ace. Her vlogs are humorous too!

FOOTLUCE EVENTING

Lucy Robinson is the founder of footluce eventing on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. She has 4 horses: Irish Sports horse Laragh, Welsh pony Bonnie, Harry, and ex-racehorse Ember (the newest edition to the yard). All these are kept at her own stables where she bases a lot of her vlogs. Justine her trainer, dogs Willa and Fig -who have their own Instagram account- and partner Felix often feature in vlogs plus sometimes photographers and friends.

LIFE ON THE LEFT REIN

Tina Wallace found on Challenge Social, YouTube, and Instagram owns her ponies Banksy and Dinks (Bertie) at her stables with land and her home. Best friend and other YouTuber Emily Dunstan is seen regularly in videos, Instructor Cameron Beer, parents, husband Rob, and cats as well as her spaniel feature. Tina vlogs country lifestyle in Cornwall from training, competitions, yard tidying sessions and so much more!

EMD EVENTING

Emily Dunstan, founder of EMD Eventing on YouTube and EMD_Eventing94 on Instagram has 2 ponies herself at her parents’ farm. She vlogs training her young horse, Addie, and fun with her senior mare, Sprite. Cameron Beer features as well as her best friend Tina and partner Chris. Let’s not forget Spaniel, Nala. She also lives in Cornwall and enjoys surfing, away from spending time with her animals.

I was also lucky enough to meet Tina from Life on The Left Rein in 2021 which was a dream come true and it was surreal!
